Joint Is Out Of Time

Shakespeare’s Hamlet may have coined the phrase “the time is out of joint,” but the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea has put a twist on the notion in their new exhibition “Joint is Out of Time”. The new collection of artwork comes together to present works from seven international contemporary artists: Elena Damiani, Fernanda Fragateiro, Francesco Gennari, Roni Horn, Giulio Paolini, Davide Rivalta and Jan Vercruysse.
Curated by Saretto Cincinelli and Bettina Della Casa, the new collection is spread throughout the current exhibition called “Time is Out of Joint,” which aims to reimagine the notion of art history in time and space. The arrangement of the pieces makes the viewer question his or her concept of art and challenges the experience by mixing pieces from the last two centuries.
